Pregnancy is one of the most exciting, yet anxious phases of the human lifecycle. The would-be parents invariably want to know about the well-being of their child throughout the pregnancy.

TNO at Holst Centre is developing large-area sensors that can monitor the well-being of the fetus in a non-clinical setting, without hindering the mother’s day-to-day activities. One such development in progress is the large-area flexible ultrasound transducer that can be integrated in a conformal, lightweight belt. This innovation is yet another example of our thought- and technology leadership in bringing care to home.
